How Costs are Calculated
We believe that to live is to give. Musicians, roadies, drivers, directors
& administrators are all volunteers. The NLSO’s tents, PA equipment, instruments,
staging equipment, etc. are freely provided for concert use. What we do ask is
that the hosting organization (you) help assist in defraying the direct expenses
involved in staging your event.
The short summary is that distance & amount of days spent on tour primarily
determine the cost of a concert and the only way to get an accurate estimate
is to give our booking/PR guys a call. contact us
Transportation
- Rentals: 2 U-haul trucks & 2 trailers for the full orchestra.
- Bus Lease &/or compensation for private vehicles.
- Fuel & Mileage: for the U-hauls, bus, & private vehicles.
Production Expenses - This includes all the extras that make the event
spectacular, i.e. decorations, uniforms, etc.
Accommodations - This, of course, is only if the situation requires it.
Meals - Happy fed orchestra members make for an energetic & vibrant concert.
Therefore, depending on what the situation calls for, either we provide our
orchestra members with a “packed” meal or your event can provide something
on site. (As a side note, most, but not all, of our members are either vegetarian
or vegan.)
